My Neighbor’s Children Reaches The Most Needy
My Neighbor’s Children is committed to the world’s children, the poor children being the most vulnerable. We are dedicated to the children, families, and communities who must overcome poverty, injustice, and uncontrollable circumstances of life, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender.
DID YOU KNOW?
Every day, nearly 17,000 children under the age of fourteen die. Approximately, 15,000 of these deaths are children under the age of five (WHO,2018). Most of these deaths could be prevented. Adequate medical care is unavailable to so many.
UNICEF defines an orphan as a child, under the age of 18 who has lost one or both of their parents. There are over 140 million orphaned children in the world, 15.1 million of those children have lost both their parents. These numbers could be higher as many countries do not include the “street children” in their reports. It is estimated that over 10 million children are orphaned in the Caribbean and Latin America (UNICEF,2015).
My Neighbor’s Children can make a difference! You can make a difference!
